Thing in a Bag was technically founded in 2003, the morning this Homestar Runner cartoon was pushed out to the waiting world. I purchased the domain name, set up the site, and took my digital camera to work with me. Some people graciously volunteered to play along with my juvenile games and posed while looking at things in bags. Good times were had by all. By all, I mean that I had a pretty good time.
Here we are now, and while the purpose of the site might be similarly juvenile at times, we hope to cover more broad reaching facets of the shiny things that attract my attention.
It turns out that Thing in a Bag is a damn fine name for the purposes that we hope to achieve because for lack of a better gimmick, this site will, more or less, be a grab bag of content. That's how we shotgun the longtail for big AdSense dollars right? I've been told that's what all the big-time internet mover-shaker-hyphonators are supposed to say.
At the time of this writing, we are still a barren wasteland of content, which is to say, coming up just shy of having nothing in the way of content.
